CWCF Celebrates 2025 Scholars at 16th Annual Scholarship Event

The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation (CWCF) proudly celebrated its 16th Annual Scholarship Event, recognizing the outstanding achievements of this year's scholarship recipients. The event brought together students, their families and friends, CW faculty and staff, and members of the CWCF Board to honor the scholars' hard work and dedication.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the inaugural Justin Stone Memorial Scholarship, created in memory of Professor Emeritus Justin Stone. This new scholarship pays tribute to Professor Stone's enduring legacy—his unwavering passion for education, deep commitment to student success, and long-standing dedication to both The College of Westchester and the CW Charitable Foundation.

"The true appreciation and impact of how these scholarships help change lives can only occur when you hear it directly from our students. Their stories inspire us and are the reason the CW Charitable Foundation continues to exist", said Mary Beth Del Balzo, President Emeritus of The College of Westchester and Co-President for the CW Charitable Foundation. The night honored outgoing Co-Presidents Ted Miller and Marissa Weidner for their exceptional leadership and commitment to The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation. Since joining the Board in 2013 and becoming Co-Presidents in 2017, they have expanded scholarship opportunities, inspired widespread support, and helped award over 200 scholarships totaling nearly $600,000 to deserving students.

Newly elected Co-Presidents of The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation are Mary Beth Del Balzo, President Emeritus of The College of Westchester and Dr. Jennifer Ratner, co-owner of Audiology Associates of Westchester.
